Tom Hakel

Tom has been successfully founding, growing, restructuring, advising, merging and selling enterprises in the fields of telecommunications, technology, wine and financial services for over 25 years.  Over the course of his career, Tom has served as an executive officer in over 15 turnarounds and start-up companies and during the course of this time, has raised in excess of $100 million dollars.

Tom’s foundational business skills are in the area of finance and valuations.  He worked for four years in the financial services consulting practice of KPMG Peat Marwick in San Francisco, where, as a manager, he was responsible for the development of several of the firm’s proprietary valuation and asset/liability management computer models. Tom also worked for two years at Pisenti & Brinker and helped to start the firms consulting practice in the North Bay.  Tom obtained his CPA certificate in 1988 (currently inactive) and is a graduate of Sonoma State University with a degree in Computer Science.

Ryan Vice

Ryan Vice has 25 years of leadership experience in corporate finance, accounting and business development. Ryan’s experience includes positions as a CEO and CFO for both private and public companies in many different industries. Past projects have included the environmental water testing market, software development, wine industry, medical device start-ups, farming and small private equity firms.  

He has been in leadership positions as these companies experienced rapid revenue growth and has a broad range of experience, including financial modeling, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financing strategies, strategic planning and real estate investments.

Ryan has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1999 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a Real Estate Broker licensed by the California Department of Real Estate and a member of the National Association of Realtors. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from California State University, Sacramento in 1995.

John McKinley

John is a results-driven sales and operations leader with a talent for building key relationships that enhance company growth and objectives while maintaining a thorough understanding of leveraging existing and emerging technologies that drive business goals.

John successfully drove incremental growth for existing products and services and led new product and service launches for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Comcast. This included overseeing operations for a business unit of a Fortune 50 company responsible for generating $700M in annual revenues and directly managed a $32M P&L.

John has 25+ years of successfully executing both vision and strategy that optimize volume, revenues, and profits for both existing and startup companies. His vast experiences uniquely position his ability to assimilate into just about any business environment and quickly operationalize its needs.

John McKinley

David Simpson

David Simpson’s experience includes founding a software communications company, a internet trade association, and a green energy consulting firm. David also worked as an investigative newspaper reporter and as a regulatory and business lawyer. In addition, David has extensive non-profit governance experience in the field of youth development and education. He holds a BA from Williams College, an MA  from Oxford University, and a JD from Golden Gate University.

Mark Hullinger

Mark has over 30 years of finance and accounting leadership experience.  He served in a variety of corporate finance management roles in Fortune 50 and Fortune 500 companies.  He purchased a small manufacturing business and helped guide it to strong financial performance.  He was the Regional Operations Manager for Northern California with one of the nation’s largest CPA firms.   He has been a CFO in in both permanent and contracted positions.   As a business advisor and CF0, he has worked with over 80 companies in many different industries with companies ranging from startup to large and mature companies.  He works closely with business owners on turnaround strategy and cash flow improvement, strategic planning and implementation, internal controls and other facets of financial planning, reporting, analysis and decision making.

Mark is a long-term resident of Sonoma and Napa counties, raising his four children in Santa Rosa.  He received an MBA in Finance from San Francisco State University and BA degree from BYU. He has volunteered for numerous organizations in and outside of Sonoma County.
